Here are some outfit ideas for the Vide Knit Pants Sewing Pattern. Depending on the fabric, you can make them look very dressed up or go for a more casual vibe.
Dressed up
Here I made the Vide Pants from a fairly stable Ponte di Roma (a rayon, nylon, lycra-mix). I paired them with a long-sleeved version of my Gurli Top Sewing Pattern using a rayon/lycra jersey with a geometrical pattern. I think this combo looks really polished, yet it’s all made with knit fabric!
Casual mix
For this pair of Vide Knit Pants I used a softer navy Courtelle jersey (a rayon, polyester, lycra-mix) with more drape than the black fabric. This fabric choice makes the Vide pants look a bit more casual, especially when it’s paired with a simple striped t-shirt.
To make the look a bit more polished I added a felted wool version of my Eivy Cardigan Sewing Pattern, the wool gives the cardigan a jacket-like quality.
Relaxed casual
This is how you find me lounging around at home. I’m wearing the same Courtelle jersey pants here, but I added a silk jersey short-sleeve version of the Gurli Top Sewing Pattern.
With the felted wool Eivy Cardigan it looks a little more polished, but still super comfortable.
Retro vibes
The swinging sixties was my inspiration for this version of the Vide pants. I used a grey marled double-knit fabric (a rayon, nylon, lycra-mix) with some stability, but still soft. The stitched pintucks are what add the retro vibe, as well as the loafers I’m wearing in the photo.
Paired with a rib-knit top or turtle-neck to create a classic style with a nod to the past. Love this version of the Vide pants.
Hope you found some ideas for how to style and sew your Vide pants!
