What to do when you want to make garments primarily from your fabric stash but only have a small piece of corduroy to work with? Well the answer could be making a mini skirt, at least that was the conclusion I came to!
The pattern is the a-line skirt from the Built by Wendy Sew-U book. It’s a decent pattern, but I think the waist rides too high for my liking, so I always lower it a bit.
The pockets are made like welt pockets but without the flap. The opening turned out a bit bigger than I had planned, but no biggie. There are room enough for keys and cards, but not much else.
Hope you all have a nice Sunday. I’m planning to spend a good portion of it outside today, as I spent most of my day indoors yesterday finishing all those seams and layers of the embroidered voile Burdastyle dress (and that was a handful, let me tell you!).
