As I’m slowly embarking on my fourth sewing book and with the German version of Sewing Jeans coming soon I thought I should give you an overview of all the sewing books I’ve written so far.
Sewing Jeans: The Complete Step-By-Step Guide
Sewing Jeans is my latest book and it was such an ambitious project that worked super hard on for over a year. I wanted to make a sewing book like no other, that really went deep into every aspect of jeans making but still very user friendly and visually driven in a clear step-by-step format. I’m so proud of this book, and it has almost 200 five star reviews on Amazon, which is incredibly validating.
Who is it for?
Anyone who wants to venture into making jeans and/or are struggling to achieve a professional finish using domestic sewing equipment. A lot of the techniques are also applicable to any type of pants making, so it’s a very versatile book!

Jeans nähen, the German version coming soon!
In just a few months you’ll be able to buy Sewing Jeans in German. It’s titled Jeans nähen, published by Stiebner Verlag and you will be able to get it on Amazon (Amazon affiliate link) and many other book shops.
Master The Coverstitch Machine: The Complete Coverstitch Sewing Guide
Master the Coverstitch Machine is my big best-seller book, which showed how much this book was needed on the market. Coverstitching can be quite tricky and most machine manuals are very scant, so I decided to create a very detailed book that fills all those knowledge gaps and holds your hand through the entire process.
The tutorials are very easy to follow and the richly illustrated format is designed to demystify every step in the process. I also talk a lot about troubleshooting and best practices and I’ve gotten so many messages about how this book has been a real (sewing) life changer!
Some were even prepared to toss away their coverstitch until they read my book, which makes me so happy to hear. It has over 500 reviews on Amazon, so this book has really left its mark.
Who is it for?
This book is for anyone who is struggling with their coverstitch machine and/or wants to learn how to take their coverstitching to the next level, learning professional techniques and use the machine for so much more than hemming knit tops.

Sewing Activewear: How To Make Your Own Professional-Looking Athletic Wear
Sewing Activewear was the book that started it all. I published it back in 2017 after working on it on and off for over two years. I’ve been sewing my own workout clothes since the beginning of the 2000s and I felt that there was not much information on how to sew high-end activewear using domestic sewing machines.
I basically took apart a tonne of RTW activewear and then did some really intense reverse engineering to figure out the construction and how to mimic the techniques using a regular sewing machine, a serger and a coverstitch machine.
I also knew that I wanted to have A LOT of pictures and very detailed instruction since that’s what I felt had been lacking in lots of sewing books. Sewing Activewear kind of set the format for all my books moving forward and the instructions and the easy-to-understand format is what reviewers keep praising my books for.
Who is it for?
This book is for everyone who wants to learn and get better at sewing stretchy fabrics. Even though it says Sewing Activewear in the title, it’s really a book about sewing knits on any type of domestic machine.
And if you love activewear and are curious about how it’s actually made, then this book is definitely for you!
